Well GOOD news! I woke up this morning thinking I paid for some kinda warrenty work on my mobo and I checked the receipt and I did! I paid $30 for a 2 year exchange warrenty! The warrenty was worth it!! for even 1.5 years from now if my mobo goes I can exchange it for one of the same value I paid for my old one! Anyways got a new one "kt333" The KT400 soyo is not in stores for a few more weeks and as long as they have the same one in stock I have to exchange it for that, and since I did get a spike that came through that got the mobo I figured the powersupply must have been damaged a little even if it still works, may not work for long so I bought an enermax 431 somthing watt supply with dual fans, ghetto gold plated fan guards and a cool semi metallic blue finish, got home and immediatly took off the gold plated fan guards, left the inside one off for it is not needed, and put a silver one on the back, artic silver 3'ed the north bridge and had an extra small sink so I put it in the southbridge. Also bought another HARD DRIVE!!! They had a killer deal on the 120gb wd 8mb cache, it was $269 and they had $40 instant savings and a $100 mail in rebate for a cost of $129.99 after all is said and done! so I put the 120 in my monster, and am putting the 80gb wd 8mb cache drive in my girls monster pc, and her 40gb ata133 is going in the frankenstein comp that just got a new powersupply for as long as the antec works *L*. And bought 2 new apc surge protectors, and will be bying batterybackup next week. so all in all today has been pretty good and spent to much cash The WD 120 GB is every bit as fast as the 80GB I see no # difference either. Very good product! Well between the 3 comps I now have around 280gb, wonder if I will ever use it all..?? *L*

CiKoTiC be careful with dual surge protection. I've heard, and I believe it's right that two surge protectors are worse than one. If you have two surge protectors it will take almost twice the spike to trip the equipment. So with two it's possible to fry equipment that is on two surge protectors that would have been safe on one. Also belkins will replace equipment that got fried if it was hooked up to their surge protectors. Also guys don't forget your data connection. Cable, DLS/phone lines have more of a chance of frying your gear than the outlet. The transformers and circuit breakers on the electric lines will help protect your power but there is little to nothing to protect your data lines.

Also wanted to say that enermax powersupply I bought was worth every penny, It has a rear adjustable 80mm fan and a 92mm clear non adjustable, they rated the 80mm fan at only 3,000 rpm max and I see a whopping 4688 rpm! Kinda understated don't ya think..?? Also the 92mm sits right over my heat pipe sink about 3 inches so all of the warm air is drawn right up and out, my chip temp dropped from a absolute max of 107-108 running seti to 103-104 and have not seen a degree higher! Very awsome placement in the antec case and very awsome product, so far I give it 9 out of 10 skirts up for I noticed the instruction manual was seriously lacking for the extra function on the supply, was easy to figure out but joe smo that is just replacing a powersupply for the first time and jumps into it will find it very hard to understand and figure out were he control wires go and stuff like that, wires were extra long and fit tight with no loose connections. Again 9 OUT of 10 skirts up on this product baby! The model # is EG465P-VE(FCA)
