If nobody minds getting back to the review :/ I've got some questions/ comments, which I guess should be directed to Akimoto? (andrew?)
When you say the drive is loud, how loud is it?
Do you think it was caused by unbalanced media? or is it always a screamer? and is it "fingernails on the blackboard" sort of sound? or loud but not too annoying?

I'm close to getting a new burner, and 24 RW w/ Mt. Rainer is near the top of my wishlist, but I am
VERYhttp://sound sensitive, so I'm h...st not shrill.

Andrew is fine, I don't really care to hide behind my handle. When I say the drive is loud, I don't mean that it's a screamer like some drives can be, it gets loud but it is by no means annoying. If you have a fan that runs 4.5k rpms and up you probably won't even know the drive is there. I don't think that it was caused by unbalanced media, every single test that I used it for let it get decently loud. I have a pretty sensetive ears and it didn't bother me considerably. I was also looking for at least one problem with the drive, and that was pretty much the only one that I could come up with.
