someone please help i downoloadded gta3 a week ago it worked fine but i got the 12bit error so i know how to fix it but...lol i feel so stupid for asking iv done this before realy i did it last month lol but how do u disable directx

directx is a system component and can't be disabled, try reinstalling your os

If you're going to re-install your OS, best to format instead of doing a deltree!

netmeeting will also cause this to happen because when running it disables direct3d. close and disable netmeeting.

the game didnt run at all first..(got the not enough video memory msg)
I got a gf3 ti500 and its got more then enough video memory...gta3 worked fine..but gta3 vice city doesnt.
so I tried disabling 3d..enableing it again..testing..then ran the game..and now I get the startscreen logo..then the damn game crashes ? wtf ? program error..bla bla bla ? WTF IS THIS SHIT?!

and no multiplayer either..rockstar games should be smacked.
They could have waited a few months..and added multiplayer or at least fixed some bugs.
