I think the hardware monitor is probably monitoring the CPU temperature and automatically shutting the system down if the processor reaches extremely high temperatures. I'm not familiar with the specifics and capabilities of the monitoring system so it's just a guess. Either way, you really should get a faster fan or some other more effective cooling solution.

Hey guys,

I am getting the exact same problem. My computer randomly turns off/crashes once or twice a day and i get this same error when i load my pc. I have a a7v600 motherboard too.

I have downloaded various programs which tell me my CPU/Case temp, my CPU temp is about 44*C when idle, and 55*C when im playing games (counter-strike).

I was wondering if this error would be the reason for my computer randomly crashing?

PC Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
512MB RAM
80GIG
Radeon 9800 AIW (Softmodded to 9800 PRO)
