A basketball sized diamond would weigh quite a bit. You don't just run away with it. But I would be happy to help you run carry the weight.

Default Bouncing Diamonds

actually prometheus, diamonds are very bouncy, if they hit something hard. try dropping a glass marble onto a sheet of glass, very very bouncy - diamonds are even more

actually it wasnt so much a pane as an inch thick slab, but it still bounced really high, better than rubber balls on concrete, and if you drop a diamond onto a lab floor it flies off, never find the damn things again...
