wow those are great sites!!

i remember the old days when i was doing VB 6
ok not so old
but...

there are so many sites that offers help and templates and stuff
and i made this game called Battle Submarines

two player VB game
hard to do in vb because of some conflicts in the keyboard commands so i had to use some special methods

i never bothered with sprites though... that is the weakness of my game i guess

i do more web development/design than software. i know html, css, coldfusion (not a master yet), and i am currently learning php. and i do all the graphics for the sites that i design. and somtimes i design logos for our clients. anyway, enough about me. i did take vb in high school, but i dont remember much of it.

i havent used mx yet. still on v4. its hard to explain what it does cause it does so much. basically its php, with a big price tag. you can do anything with php and mysql, that you can do with cf. i believe. which is why i'm learning php.

but no, its very very easy to learn the basics. cf is tag based, so it looks a tad like html (only a tad mind you). but you can script it too. where php is only script, and i havent done any scripting, so its taking me a bit to learn it. i did take vb in high school like i said, which i guess is the same kinda function (expr) kinda programming. which i have to relearn.

please don't think PHP and VB are too similar. PHP is alot easier IMO, but then again I've never really done much VB.

many ppl say that VB is the foundation of software programming
some say that it works a programmer's logic into how a computer thinks

it sure trains ppl well...
