Bush or Kerry?

Osama was, in fact, born in Saudi Arabia. He was, also, kicked out of the country, due to his political statements against the country when they supported the U.S. rather than Iraq in the first Gulf War. Iraq was believed to have more items which could be used for terrorism by the most dangerous groups, such as al Qaeda, in part due to the close ties with those groups.

Iraq did have WDM's. They had plenty being used preceding the first Gulf War, and plenty left after, which they knew that the rest of the world was aware of. The Iraqi regime refused to destroy them, failing to fulfill U.N. sanctions. They also had several research programs going on, confirmed by discovered documents and by testimony of refugee scientists from Iraq. Satellite tracking has shown evidence over the last several years that equipment/chemicals/supplies have been moved very often from place to place, making an extremely large grid of possible locations. The weapons themselves are easy to hide, and the fact that we haven't found them yet does not mean that they are not there, it just means we've not covered the right 15% of Iraq.

As for the proposed failure of securing Iraqi oil (mentioned earlier in this thread), I believe that is complete nonsense. The U.S. has enough oil to easily supply itself for the 40 to 50 years taking into account the current rates of growth in usage. With alternative fuels on the verge of taking over the energy market, fossil fuels will not be needed nearly as much as they are now. Also, our government prefers to get oil from the American continents. One of the biggest reasons we do buy oil is due to trade and trade agreements.

One thing that I'd like to mention is that progress isn't always visible. I'm referring to prevention. You can easily see if progress isn't made in prevention, like with terrorist attacks. They happen without proper prevention. The fact is, there have been no terrorist attacks against the U.S. since 9-11, despite there being several promises from legitimate sources. Another thing; 9-11 wasn't directly Bush's fault or caused by him, the vital intelligence flaws occured during the previous presidency.

I don't see many people blaming 9/11 on bush... I'm not worried about the past, but the present and future, rather, that concerns me.

Honestly, with political views aside, Bush needs to be re-elected so that we can finish this. Kerry will only get in and screw things up. If we don't finish what we started, then this loop is going to continue until the next Republican gets into office and tries to fix what's been started. Bush Sr. started in the 80s and then lost the election in the 90s. He should have finished then, but he didn't. Bush Jr. got into office and went back to finish this problem, and it's going to take a second term to finish it. He needs back in for obvious reasons. If Kerry gets in 4 years from now, so be it, I don't care, he does have some good plans, but he's not what we need right now.

Hey folks, I'm back, for now, after being gone for months on end. Go figure this is my first post. Kerry is a bastard, period. Yhea he went to Vietnam (correction). Once he did something for his country, not sure what or how well but he did serve his country. He came back threw his medals (or something) into a river. But did you know he went back? Supposodly he went back and practially slapped other service memebers in the face. There was a lot of dirty tricks pulled on our service members in that war and he was a part of them. How far he went and what all he did I don't know, but an ex-service member protesteing agains fellow service members I find as wrong, as an ex-service member myself. Do we have to right to do and say as we see fit? Yes. Can we protest the war? yes. But is it right to condem service members for doing what their country ask of them? I would say no, but that is my opinion. If you want to protest, fine. But protest the government and support our troops. It's hard to enough to do something honorable in this day and age, don't insult the ones that have the balls to do it.
As for Bush, he served his country, and did more than required for the way he served. A lot of people served in the guard and reserve, still do. That doesn't make it unimportant. Not everyone goes overseas in every war. It's not possible. And he missed his flight physical? Does anyone here know what that means to someone on flight status??? Has anyone here ever been on flight status in the military? I have and I can tell you that's just one requirment and can be recitified in less than a day. If it's an issue for your position it will be resolved quickly, believe me, I've seen times when it was and issue. It doesn't take long to get sorted out.
In the end, vote for who you want, it's a free country and do and say what ever you want. But be aware everyone else will to. Kerry is a bastard imho and the choice for me is very clear.

that's a good way to vote for bush.... you know bush loves nader just because of everyone that votes for nader would have otherwise voted for kerry...
