I like your mixed message here. You claim no problem with Indians, then you call them morons. Way to maintain mutual cultural ignorance!

I don't know what you're giving up on actually, I'm not trying to win anything.
If you want to know about my antenna setup. Basically I got two 8 foot poles, a chimney strap, a 20dBi directional antenna from
http://www.fab-corp.com/, a d-link 802.11b wireless access point, and a PoE [power over ethernet] adapter, and a copper ground rod, some metal wiring to tie down the poles, and some eyehook screws for the roof and epoxy to seal.
The problem with this setup was that I couldn't get any sort of good signal to my friends house, and the detection method was sketchy because I was using only the software on the d-link access point. It would have been better if I hooked up a stronger radio to get the signal, with nicer software that didn't have to find the ssid, and could look at all packets.
As for the LAN, before I moved we had a pretty big lan with about 50 people. It was fun to setup and we had plenty of more ports to spare if only we could get more gamers to come. The power worked out alright and we had people doing kegstands on the rootbeer keg. It was sorta sponsored by nVidia, they gave us a package of stuff advertising their stuff, glowey urinal cakes [actually sticky pads that glow that you stick to a computer serving no function] and a poster or somethin. We had about 8 strips of tables lined up, and a 24 port switch at each table I think. Administrating it wasn't bad, it was kinda funny when people were seriously mad that some people outperformed them at games, they conspired to watch their screen to prove they hacked and such, which was not the case.
If you're interested in any more details I'm down to talk about it whenever.
I tried browsing your forum, it worked for a little bit. I was browsing the HTML section, when I went up to show the topics I got one of these: "phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database" wtf?
