Newegg suddenly posted the Epox boards so I hurried and placed an order...

Couldn't get the AMD XP 3000 so I got the 2800 instead.
Epox EP-8RDA+ (sorry AI, just had to go with the best)
(2x) 256MB PC-3500C2 memory

9700pro will be here tomorrow and the rest in 2 days.

Gonna have some fun this weekend. :P

hehehe whatever ya think man Also would not matter if you bought the 2800 over the 3000 because the 2500,2800 and 3000 will all overclock to about the same point, I was gonna try to get to ya and let ya know also before ya ordered it looks like the 2800+ chips non barton are overclocking better and netting some better scores! I cannot wait to see your 3dmark man It's gonna be high! I am just trying to get into the 18,000 range right now... I scored this last night with my $95 chip

Also all of this is on 100% air baby! I was able to tweak the system into running very fast ddr timings and also running at 204fsb stable right now. New heatsink and fan will be in tommorow and I should be able to break into the 18,000 mark just bairly. Also my oem sapphire card is still doing awsome, I am running stable now at 407 / 346 with no v mods on the card or artifacts! The new heatsink design is working awsome and I am keeping the core under 100F on the 9700 pro which is insane hehe. I used a temp probe to check the results! Not bad for about the cheapest 9700 going!

Gett'n awful close there AI. :P

I'll have my 9700pro tomorrow and the first thing I'm gonna do is throw it in this Intel system and see how she does. Maybe I'll hit 18K, maybe I wont. :P

Then, this weekend, I'll be throwing it in the NEW AMD system, maybe I'll hit 18K, maybe I wont. :P

Gentlemen, start your engines! It's racing time!!!

D'oh!

For some reason, UPS changed the address on my package containing my 9700 pro. If it was delivered, there's gonna be one happy person out there besides me.
