not cool, listen to this, they got mad at me today for using mozilla firefox instead of ie. Because they never heard of it before. They thought another kid was making names up when he said he uses linux at home.

The reminds me of the kid that got suspended because he told someone he used "PHP" and the school thought it was a drug.

so, about the VNC how would on eog about doing that again? ya know the whole Dynamic IP/DNS part - see, i cant even play network games because of my IP on my home comp switching all the time. . . i was given the same idea, obviously, but my dynamic IP discouraged any attempts at connecting from school, also - whenever i do set up a VPN i cant enable file sharing - whether enabled or not, any ideas?

Use a dns site's program to setup your own dns like ihatebess4ever.myip.com I know dyndns.org still does it but I'm sure there are other free dns sites around still... They are great for computers with dynamic ips that need a static dns. I remember a dns company that let the dns computer run a program that would auto update whenever its ip address changed, that would be the best one to go with.. You'll have to look around -- good luck.
