Back to the point...... we may as well throw scheme ideas at them for a new forum style. see if they like one. i think a midnight blue or similar scheme would be cool as far as colors go.

or like a sort of milled stainless steel look.

even something simple and geeky, like the old TI comp green screen type looks.

I wouldn't want either. For 15 grand you can get a late sixties Firebird or something in great condition. And while we're OT, $700 ring and $100 video card. I got a BFG 56 U which beat a friends ATi 96 XT (btw he even had it on his 2.4c while i had mine on my 1.0 athlon) for a hundred bucks, so why spend any more. Plus a video card doesn't help you out with the lady.

Ha ha, no he kept making up excuses, and he even reformatted. If we both had FX-53's then maybe his would have beat mine. But ATi's are useless on low-end and mid-end systems, he doesn't have one of the best procs out. Real graphic cards do the graphics processing themselves, they don't need to get the processor to do it for them. Also, mine's a BFG, makes a difference, and the 96 XT's weren't ahead in the first place. If you look at the entire picture, it's not that surpising. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, he insisted on trying multiple benchmarks (however I didn't want to keep going on forever til he found a BM that he could beat me with so I stopped at two, Dacris and 3DMark).

His card suites his purposes and mine suits mine. I have a 1GHz proc, so really, does any one believe that an ATi would work better on my system than an nVidia? Especially when there is nothing for the ATi to pass the work off to? I'm not saying my system is slow or anything, it just doesn't have the raw power to give out a high number of megaflops. (BTW, his 2.4c un-overclocked benched only 48% faster than mine )
