Recently had issues with system freezing up
I think it might be the mobo. Several times a day the whole system just freezes. Every once in a while it wont unfreeze and I have to reboot. Could this be operating system or motherboard?

Dan,
Actually I would check the HD and RAM first. You can also go into the event viewer and check the last cause before system freeze. I have rarely seen the motherboard cause a lockup unless you have bad caps or overheating. Are you overclocked? |

i've tried booting up without any peripherals, only PSU, mobo and ram stick. nothing. at first glance, do you think that the cpu fried or the motherboard died?
