Installation:
The HVR-1800 installs into a PCI-E 1x slot. It fills a full length PCI slot. This may pose a problem for people with small form factor HTPC cases like the Altair A381. If you have a HTPC case that can support full sized cards like the DH-202 you will be fine.

Conclusion:
This card will make a great addition to your HTPC build. It’s perfect for recording sports games or scheduling a recording for a late night special that you can’t stay up for. The FM tuner means that it can provide enjoyment when not watching TV. The included software isn’t the greatest, but there are enough third party multimedia front end apps out there that it shouldn’t really be a problem. More than likely if you’re building a HTPC, and have done your homework, you’ll have already decided on a front end for the system. The HVR-1800 works well at what it does and will be a great asset to your multimedia experience.

This is not a review. It’s about half the pages of an installation manual. Worthless. I won’t read anything at techwarelabs again unless I need a good laugh.
Wow, this is the most worthless review ever. No commentary on picture quality, tuner quality, bundled software, etc. You basically said “it’s a TV tuner, it fits in a PCI-E x1 slot, and it comes in a box.”
