There are three source connections to be hooked up on this system. Line in, Rear channel in, and Digital in. Consumers must be sure they have the proper sound card for dynamic sound reproduction as specified above. Final Thoughts This is a fantastic system for computer users. As the reviewing editor, I can see only one fault that is keeping these speakers from being outstanding for systems other than computer users. The rear speaker wires are sufficient for a small room, but if you wanted to use them for a home entertainment center the wires are not long enough to be routed around a large room. Logitech needs to come up with a solution such as a screw down type post that you see on standard stereo equipment, that would allow consumers to use standard speaker wires for the rear speakers . With a solution like this, the consumer could run standard speaker wire through walls for the rear channels. With the limited amount, and type of wire included in this system this is currently impossible. Granted there are some implications to applying this technology such as impedance. Another nice feature which may be commonly overlooked, there is no power converter. A single, standard power plug powers the entire speaker setup. No bulky power brick, AMEN! For computer usage, these speakers will serve the purpose quite well. Basing a decision on price and quality, these speakers definitely deserve the Techware Labs "Editor's Choice" Award.
