Conclusions:
It is easy to see that Fanatec has spent a lot of time and attention to detail on the Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel as it is as authentic and realistic to a real Porsche 911 wheel as possible. The leather is just beautifully done, and the feeling across your fingers and palms is magnificent. The backlit buttons for both PC and Playstation are excellent, along with the force feedback delivery and pedal vibrations makes the entire experience more realistic. The clutch and differing forces of each pedal made this experience soar to even greater heights, along with Fanatec providing the user with three different choices in gear box style delivery systems to appease even the most meticulous racers. Add to this the wireless technology, easy setup, the Porsche USB Key sticks and overall excellent build quality on this system and what you have is an amazing entire racing system that is easily and wirelessly able to transform to race with any car and personal preference setup.

The only cons I can provide if any, would have to be the difficulty I had with the 6 speed shifter, but again it was new and needed some more break-in to smooth out the shift corners. The other recommendation if possible would be if the pedals could be made to be more "realistic" in that if they were made of metal with real rubber grip surfaces. Lastly the price of this unit is more expensive than other comparable wheel systems, and might in itself be a deterrent to a racers purchase; but seriously with this system you get what you pay for. Other than this, I would have to say Fanatec has hit a home run with the Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel with this system being a "must have" for the serious racing and Porsche enthusiast.

With an MSRP of $350.00, the Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo Wheel is not inexpensive but you do get what you pay for here. The superb German engineering, the wireless technology, the authentic hand-stitched leather Porsche wheel, the easy to use tuning screen on the wheel, the amazing force feedback from the wheel, vibration feedback from the accelerator pedal, along with the differing forces on each pedal all make this a very worthy purchase and a must-have for the serious racer and Porsche fan.
