Introduction

The Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-6400 ram kit is part of Crucial's line of RAM aimed at performance users.  Crucial is a division of Micron, which is one of the largest manufactures of DRAM chips in the world, this sets a lot of high expectations for this RAM kit. The ram kit is rated at 6.4 GB/sec of max transfer with pretty tight timings. This allows for a good balance of timings and bandwidth and leaves plenty of room either way for an overclock.

To install the RAM sticks simply align the notch in the memory module with the notch in your motherboard and push in.  Don’t be afraid to push hard, but always apply straight downward force with the back of the motherboard supported on a surface that won’t ruin the solders.  When you hear both tabs click you know you got it in.  Pay careful attention to what slots you plug the RAM into if you would like it to be dual channel.  Usually the manual to the motherboard will tell you more about this.
