C520 Hacks:
As we mentioned earlier the C520 is based on the popular windows mobile 5.0 platform which allows for a multitude of things to be done. Essentially you can "unlock" the C520 turning it into a full fledge mobile PDA with all the ensuing functionality. You can find more information on this in the GPS Passion forums. What you will end up with looks similar to the images below:
NOTE: The information provided below if for testing and educational purposes only. TechwareLabs is not responsible if you damage your GPS device by using the information provided. This is only one example program that can be used with the C520, some creative searching will turn up others.
Essentially here is what you do:
1. Download MioPocket
2. Extract the contents to an SD card by using a PC with an SD Card reader.
3. Turn on your Mio and wait for the loading to be complete. It is suggested that you exit all programs currently loaded.
4. Insert the SD card containing MioPocket and follow the prompts.
5. Wait until it reboots (about 30 sec.)
6. The Mio C520 will go through a restart sequence and load into MioPocket.
