versus

Nforce2 IGP

Gaming Benchmarks:

3DMark2001 Second Edition

3DMark2001 is run with its default settings.

The Xabre 200 on the M847LU beats the Nforce2 integrated video solution primarily because it can render the pixel shaders in the Game 4 Nature test. A Geforce4 MX does not support shaders, hence it scores lower in 3DMark2001 SE.

The benchmarks include ATI Radeon 9700-powered motherboard combinations for juxtaposition. Obviously neither the Xabre 200 nor the Nforce2 IGP can match such performance levels.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein

High Quality settings

In Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the M847LU's onboard video handles decent frame rate that is on par to the Nforce2 IGP.

Unreal Tournament 2003

Highest Quality 1024x768

The M847LU + Xabre 200 falls behind Nforce2 in UT2003. Perhaps SiS drivers are not yet mature enough to process such a graphically demanding game.

More Benchmarks ahead.
