Packaging
As you can see, the board comes packaged in a box that's larger than the standard. It has a plastic handle on top, and has a sturdy interior to protect the board.
Included aside
from the DRAGON Ultra are as follows: 3x ATA/133 IDE cables, a floppy cable, a
faceplate, the users manual, a USB "Sigma" drive, an installation CD, and a CD
with some bundled software. The Sigma drive has four USB 2.0 ports and includes
hardware to mount it in either a 3.5 or a 5.25 drive bay. Included are a pair of
clear, rounded cables that attach to headers on the mainboard to connect the
Sigma drive. For those who have a side window, this adds to the eye candy value
of the DRAGON. This is useful because it doesn't force the user to putz around
behind the case. Instead, USB access is as easy as opening a CD-ROM drive, which
just makes things faster and easier, and isn't that the very point of upgrading
computer components? The software that's bundled with the DRAGON includes Norton
Antivirus 2002, Norton Ghost 2002, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe ActiveShare,
Acrobat ebook Reader, ImageMore, WinDVD, and Vcom Autosave. A pretty decent
package of popular utilities, overall. It's nice to see that Soyo really is
concerned about end-user satisfaction; they most definitely don't skimp on the
goodies.
