HD Tune is good benchmark to test the stability, speed, access time, and CPU usage of a particular storage device. Again, as you can see from the pictures, the Super Talent flash drive did extremely well. The read time, the burst rate, and the access time for Super Talent exceed those of Rally and SanDisk by a considerable margin. The average reading rate was approximately 1 MB/s faster than that of Rally's and approximately 12 MB/s faster than that of SanDisk. The burst rate of Super Talent exceeded that of Rally and SanDisk by 0.6 MB/s and 13 MB/s respectively. The access time for their flash drive is something that Super Talent can also brag about as it was twice as fast as those of Rally and SanDisk drives.
On a side note, I noticed that the CPU usage for the Super Talent SST 8 GB flash drive was considerably higher than that of Rally and SanDisk drives. The higher CPU usage is a good indication that the Super Talent flash drive will need a fast system to exhibit best performance.

In this test, the Super Talent SST 8GB did not do as well as I have expected. The read speed of the Super Talent was still, 7 MB/s faster than that of SanDisk, but 5 MB slower than that of Rally. This difference in speeds may be caused due to the way this particular program accesses memory on the flash drive. Although the read speeds of the Super Talent flash drive were a let down, the access time was in accord with my expectations. The Super Talent access time was almost half that of the SanDisk and 0.3 ms faster than Rally.
Conclusion:
The Super Talent SST 8GB flash drive delivered results well beyond my expectations. The Super Talent SST is very reasonably priced. Its performance, size, and price make the this drive a very worthy competitor in the flash drive market as well as an excellent buy for anyone looking for extremely portable high capacity storage at a reasonable price.
