Introduction:

Normally, TechwareLabs writes about computer technology and electronics. This past weekend, someone decided my right side mirror on my 2001 Ford Expedition pissed them off, so they just punted it right off the side of the truck, then broke the glass in the left one. They then proceeded to place it on my hood, in case I wanted to frame it or something. As amusing at it may seem, the fact remains. I had to replace the mirror. Ford wants $200 per side mirror (what a steal!) and probably 2 hours at $90/hr for installation. I didn't feel too keen on paying $600 to have two side mirrors installed, so I consulted ebay. I found a pair of Heated Kool-Vue Heated side mirrors from a cheap website, and proceeded to purchase them. After the mirrors arrived, I Googled "2001 Ford expedition side mirror replacement" to find no luck on guides. I then tried "2001 ford expedition door removal." It doesn't seem that anyone cares enough to post how to do this (aside from paying $3 for someone on justanswers.com to explain it to you), so I decided to make this handy dandy tutorial on Ford Expedition door removal and side mirror installation.
