Backup MyPC, like all software, isn't without its bugs. While the following may be unique incidents, they nevertheless occured on both a used, and clean install of Windows XP Professional. The first minor bug exists in the installation prompt (as discussed briefly on Page 1). After clicking "Install," a delay of approximately 10-15 seconds occurs before loading the actuall installation wizard (this is not just the spin-up delay for the CD-ROM). Although this isn't a major issue, and will likely only be encountered once, installation is still early in leaving an impression of the software. The other minor flaw found in Backup MyPC involves exiting the program. After exiting the program (through either clicking the [X] or selecting Exit through the menu), if one attempts to execute the program again within approximately 30 seconds, an error dialog appears saying the program is already running, and cannot be executed again. While generally users won't need to go back into the program immediately after exiting it, this problem can be a slight annoyance in some situations.

Conclusion
The versitility of Backup MyPC of various backup sources and destinations, and special features such as backing up the system state and registry, and preserving NTFS file permissions make Backup MyPC an excelent choice for backup software. While the software has room for future improvement, there are no significant flaws or shortcomings. Integrating straightforward wizards, an easy-to-use interface, good configuration options, and excelent functionality, Backup MyPC is software that can appeal to both beginning users, as well as advanced experts.
