CES 2007 Continuing Coverage

Fatal1ty:

I managed to get the chance to play Jonathan Wendel A.K.A Fatal1ty again this year. This year he is still kicking ass on Quake 4 and managed to destroy me 30 to negative 40. The quad and rail whore is definitely the best player on the planet and you need serious sompetitive championship level skills to even pose a threat. We shot some Video of Fatal1ty dishing out some serious Van damage to one of the attendees. Click on the image to check out the video. If you have an uneasy stomach you might want to look away during the more tortuous parts.

After Jonathan embarassed me infront of a few hundred spectators I had the chance to speak with him about gaming and his products. Fatal1ty has ambitios plans for several new products that will raise awareness of gaming as a serious sport and will help gamers to really get into playing on a competitive level. Fatal1ty's mission and ambition is to make competitive professional video gaming the new player in professional sports. Personally we at Techwarelabs have believed this was possible and will become a reality. The CPL has tried it but doesnt have the money to make it happen on a serious level, Fatal1ty products are already known world wide and are gamining acceptance in many markets. Perhaps Fatal1ty has a chance to do what the CPL couldn't by lending not only his name and reputation to professional gaming but by bringing in large companies and giving gaming an actual arena in which to play. All we can say is "GO FOR IT MAN!"

When asked about the gaining popularity of consoles and console gaming Fatal1ty believes that the PC is still king and PC gamers will be proven better when MS Vista allows consoles like the XBOX 360 to interface to a PC for head to head matches. We are not so sure that PC gaming will remainking as console games provide better fidelity and interactivity than the current generation of PC games. Only time will tell.

We wish you luck Fatal1ty and hope you can kick some serious arena ass in 20 years.
