Gigabyte took some members of the press for a factory tour of their facilities in Taipei.  The factory is located some distance from the city inside a very secure looking building. The awesome tour started with a small presentation of their facility information and abilities. Gigabyte has received an award two years in a row from the government for meeting and exceeding quality standards.

Gigabyte took us through the PCB creation process where they take raw PCB's and etch the bus pathways then into the component placement and soldering process using one continuous wave of solder. Q&A technicians as well as testing is done continually and boards which fail are placed into bins for repair and additional testing. Gigabyte has a 1% failure rate and their goal for production is over 99%. There are separate production lines for different types of boards, boxing, and VGA products. Gigabyte ships these products world wide and the Taipei facility has a production rate of over 1,450K/month.  If you buy an Gigabyte board there is a good chance it comes from this facility here. Look closely and try to spot your future board coming off the production line.
