you want to go for the evga 512. i was seriously pissed when i payed out for the gtx only for the 512 to come out two days later. still, the gtx broke the bank so it wouldnt have made much difference i guess. :/

Hello,

I am newbie, glad to found this. Hope to have great time here. :teleport:

JasonD 04-22-2008 02:18 PM

fallenangelsas - a 400GB HDD has a lot of space, but the larger the drive, the slower the spin-up time. Might I suggest swapping the 400GB for two 200GB drives in RAID 0? We've got an excellent article written by Jason Jacobs here that explains the effects of RAID on Gaming:
http://www.techwarelabs.com/articles...id-and-gaming/

I may also suggest a better power supply for more stability in your rig. The Tagan BZ series power supplies are amazing, and probably my favorite power supply to date:
http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/misc/tagan_BZ900/

Hope this helps!

Nice. What LCD monitor did you go for and what heatsink is that? Some awesome updates might be a sound card like the new ASUS Xonar (excellent quality and very bang for the buck) if you have a decent set of speakers or maybe an AKIMBO cooler for your card from EVGA. :woot:
