I have been after these cases for years
However, the Trendtronics website classes it as a microATX case.

What is the case (no pun intended  ) ?
I would dearly love to have an ASUS ATX Nforce 2 mobo in the case of have been pursuing for such a long time.

(U may know that the production ceased of this case quite some time ago as the manufacturers went bankrupt)

Hope to get your Sage advice :wavey:

What about cpu coolers?

I've read older reviews that suggest that you have to be careful what CPU coolers go in this case because of clearance issues. Also, PC mods sells this case and they say that you can't use an enermax dual-fan PSU... does this mean that AMD chips are out of the question (isn't that the only kind of AMD approved PSU?)...

Anyway, I've wanted one of these cases for about a year now, but I'm reluctant because I'm afraid that I won't beable to install the motherboard I buy for it, or even worse, I'll install the board but the cooling limits will lead to a ****ed up CPU.

Does anybody know of fairly new P4 or Athlon XP boards that fit nicely into this case?

Oh, by the way... here's the link to the PCMods site:

Mine is on order

There are a few things to consider which weren't mentioned in the review. The backplane (PS/2, USB, Serial etc) is not interchangeable. Basically all the new boards with 4 USB ports, firewire and LAN wont fit. The plus side to this, the back piece is not anodized aluminum like the front and sides so it can be dremeled out. The back is made of stamped steel, like most bieged cases so they can be easily cut out with a dremel. Then you can use the template backplane that comes with your motherboard.
Also I vaguely remember reading a review a while back that the AGP slot needed to be slighty expanded to fit ATi AIW 8500 (I think that was the card).

utnapishtim: I have an Enermax PSU and once I get my case I can let you know whether it will fit.

BTW, I purchased my case from www.wahoocomputers.com, they have both versions MATX and ATX (like the review) and in several colours and some additional options(additional air intake and dynomate). No I don't work for them but I am happy with the service I was getting from them so why not throw them a bone.

I ordered the MATX GunMetal Grey and Dynomated inside.
Going into my lovely case and the reason for the dynomate
Asus P4B533-VM
P4 2.53Ghz
1GB PC2700 DDR
9700 Pro
Audigy
Adaptec 29160 SCSI
36GB 15,000 Seagate Ultra 320>160
72GB 10,000 Seagate Ultra 160
Plextor 40/12/40S

I will be getting my case around 2/7/2003 so if anyone wants to ask me any questions feel free to drop me a line. khan_iii@earthlink.net
