Chieftec Case & Thermaltake
Techware Labs has just released its review of an ultimate case setup. This includes a black aluminum windowed case from Chieftec, a Thermaltake Aquarius II water-cooling system, and a green cold cathode lighting kit. This setup allows the appearance of a sleek, professional system, with fairly limited setup requirements. The products alone are each fairly impressive, so when they're combined, the result is amazing.

Magnets in a PC?!
A magnet creates an electrical field in a conductive medium if it is within a certain distance relative to its field strength. If you were to drop a magnet while fiddling in the case or if one were to be accidentally disloged, and if it were to land on an IC component, then a possible dead or damaged chip would certainely result as if it were ESD. >:) I like the system from the review, but I would lose the magnets in favor of a mechanical attachment. I commend you for noting the lack of one, but you missed the EMF problem. I think I will still try one out. Thanks for an interesting review. 8)

Watercooling Section
I saw this review on Hothardware.com so I thought I would check it out. And I was just shocked what was said in the watercooling section,
The worst part about installation is turning the system on and praying that there are no leaks, but if you followed the guide then there is really no need to worry. Most of the other reviews I have read on water cooling said to run the unit for 24 hours for leaks before placing in the computer. And then the some of the parts, Intelligent Water Tube what the heck is that, a tube with a spring in it wheres the Tygon tubing? And the pump that is one of the weakest pumps I have seen 23.8 GPH, it wouldn't surprise me id it went bad after one week. How about a better pump Eheim 1048 158 GPH, Eheim 1250 317 GPH. The Watercooling package is weak the are better one's out there. And the magentic field from the magents wouldn't really hurt anything seeing that everything is shielded. :/ |
Dead Pump
I bought an AquariusII 4 month ago. It's a really good kit exept for the pump. It did not start a few times and today it is dead. The internal blue power led does not swith on anymore...
A friend of mine bought the kit it not a long time ago and the pump makes some strange noise. Does't like good. :shake: |
