PolarFlow Milled Water Block Review

Jason has just posted a review of Horse of Iron's PolarFlo milled water block and fan adapters. This water block performs extremely well compared to the Danger Den Maze and Innovatek Innovacool.

UPDATE!

This waterblock was just used in an AMD Barton Based Motherboard and has produced excellent results.

AMD Barton 2500+
NF7-S Motherboard Bios 18
512 MB Geil PC 3200
Rio 180 Pump
Windows XP Sp1

With Ambient Temps of 25C In this setup, the PolarFLO returned results of:

Idle: 28C
Load: 35C
System Temp: 26C

This was in a case closed environment. Excellent temperatures.

The PolarFLO enabled me to overclock the system to a maximum of
12x215=2580mhz @ 1.8vcore and an incredible 38C Idle! These temperatures cant be touched through the use of a normal heatsink even at default settings. I believe I could push the system further but either my RAM or the motherboard is limiting me.

Customer Testimonial

This is a testimonial from a recent customer:

"Test on amd system i put together - barton 2500+, epox 8rda3+ mobo, 1 gig geil ddr 400 ram, ati 9800 pro video card.

overclocked to 3600+ speeds

White Water block with poly top from Dtek customs (which was the best i tested over many other water blocks i used from danger den to innovatek) 31-33 C idle, 36-38 c load temps, ambient room temp at 27c
with the polar flo - 29-32 c idle , load 34-36 c, 27 c room temp
I noticed a few degrees celcius diff., all tested on overclock speeds of 3600+, stock speeds must be at least 5 degrees c cooler, anyways i just wanted to let you know thank you again, you made a beautiful and hi performing block, and i cant wait for you guys to get gpu coolers and reservoirs, etc.

- James"

Everyone is welcome to post their results!

Best to all.

2882mhz!

Hey Steve,

Just saw this board, cant wait for the SF block for my new p4 setup, i changed a few items on the AMD setup which i gave to my sister to use and will be sending new photos soon, looks pretty awesome!
I swapped out the Dtek pro core rad and added a JPI XLR rad and a dual 120mm fan, Scoop ver. 2 and alot of extra airflow
paired with some new kingston pc3700 ram 2x256mb

I achieved some awesome temps and overclocked speeds -
12X240 - 2882 mhz! 480mhz fsb ,no pelt!!! very stable
vcore 2.0 /vdd 2.0/vdimm 2.9 with relaxed timings of course
temps believe it or not on previous speeds dropped 5c with the new rad

its currently @ 38-43c day (depending on weather :) with 12x240 speeds (still not bad considering the the volt and bus speeds)

im very happy what i achieved with this new combo , dont think i can do it using any other block and radiator on the market.

BIGG THANX TO STEVE @ POLARFLO
