As I mentioned in the
HardwarePub news, the DirectX 8.1 final release is out. I don't have the links on me, but they're right on the front page of HardwarePub if you want, otherwise it's available at Windows Update easily.
I'm downloading it as I write this, and I'll let you know how performance is. I made sure to benchmark in Q3:TA right before downloading.
