I look back on the year, and I remember it getting off to a really
great start, and I thought to myself how great this year was going to be. As of about February I had decided that 2001 sucked, but then March-ish I liked it again. May went back into the "this year sucks" phase, and June alternated a lot, but overall was probably the "this year sucks" feeling. I don't think the year ever really got better from there. I suppose I'd like to have a prevailing feeling of "this year is neutral" or better next year too.
