I would say that there are better applications available for PC than there are for Macintosh, but the software that Apple offers for free with its operating systems is better than the software Windows offers with its. Granted, I've never tried to use Window MovieMaker, or use Windows Media Player to transfer music to a device, but I've used iMovie, and found it to be moderately nice, and I've heard iTunes is pretty nice (and yes, I know these aren't the only applications included, but they're two examples).
