Default recycle bin and xp

Any body have a problem with deleting a file in windows xp and finding that it never went to the recycle bin? I checked in the recycle bin properties, where the check box is for, "do not send to recycle bin," is and it's not checked, so I shouldn't be permanently deleting stuff, but it is.

depends on what the file is. Temp Internet files never go to the recycle bin on any windows products I've seen. What are you deleting?

This happens to me as well, but that's because it's what I tell Windows to do, through the use of Shift+Delete. I use that constantly, so I'm sorry, I really wouldn't have ever experienced it by accident.

Make sure they aren't archive files.
