Default How do you handle this ?

Sometimes I get lots of spam email, more so than others. I usually just delete it, but sometimes I will click on the 'unsubscribe' option and sometimes my email address is already filled in. On those I click 'unsubscribe' and it seems to work for awhile.
Also sometimes my email address is NOT filled in. There is a blank with a note like " Please fill in email address " . What ! Why should I do that ? They already have my email address- or do they ?
Now I think this is just a trick to get some real live email addresses. Then they will spread them around and send you more spam.
What do you think and what do you do ?
Just curious.

You are right! Responding to spam only tells the creep sending that he has a live addy.  I just block them or if you look around you can find software to bounce it back to them.  spamcon.org emailtoday.com and combat.uxn.com have some good info.

Im the king of Spam...I get soooooo much of it

I use an alias when signing up for things and if they spam me I just point the alias at there email...makes em stop pretty quick.

My g/f was getting litteraly 100's of email EVERY hour after she submitted hersite to an obscure "search engine"...I noticed they were all from the sae adddress so I just redirected *@melsjokes.com emails back to em...hehe...I kick @$$...

I think it's funny that a site called melsjokes.com was spamming her.  I have a whole email (hotmail) account set up for spam.  I just give that email to any place that I suspect will spam me.
