I will admit that when you need something in a pinch, frys is there. Notice I said, "in a pinch". Otherwise they can suck my... WHAT!

Fry's is the same to me, too, Uranium-235, except I don't agree with the management. They get rid of anyone who gives you correct information. Fry's is my grocery store man as a friend would say.

I haven't had the "joy" of shopping at a Fry's online/offline. I live by one here in Austin but never got around to visiting them...I used to purchase my parts from a select few sites such as compgeeks.com, onvia.com (when they sold computer parts), memplus.com, and BestBuy.com. Memplus.com used to have THE best prices on RAM (generic unfortunately)...could get 32MB PC100 for under $20 3 yrs ago...they remain competitive, somewhat.
When I visit the Fry's here, I'll report back

My experience at Fry's has mostly been good. I had one small problem, but they fixed it and gave me all my money back. It is true that a lot of the salespeople there don't know anything about that department, but for us, we don't need them that much.

I have learned that there is only one man at frys who deserves to speak and that's the guy at the front of the customer service line. You know, the guy with the testing table, He's got an MB sitting there to plug stuff in to. At my Frys the guy is apparently on speed but he knows some stuff.

I have only met with one of the guys at my frys and he was ok. He was still a dumb ass but he knew more than any of the other fools. Sometimes I will go to office depot and listen to the crap that the techs tell the customers. Then I will butt in and give the customer some real advice and tell them the truth. One time I heard some stupid guy saying that there was no way a certain radeon had DDR because the price was so low. He said you get what you pay for. I walked up and said, yes you get what you pay for... sometimes. I then pointed to the front of the box where it had in big letters "64MB DDR!". dumb asses!

i hate when sales people try and actin smart. if they don't know they shouldn't act as if they do. just say, i dont know. then u wont make someone do somtin and mess it up and make them an unappy customer. i mean ur never gonna see the person again, so why lie?
