if you are in OS X in mac then you are running unix as OS X is based on unix on the inside

Yes. It was a very smart move for Mac. Their stability is supposed to be rock solid now. Microsoft should start over also, and base their stuff on Unix if they want to stay in the market longer than the next decade. I heard they have been working on a project for this. Anybody hear anything about that?
