August 14, 2002, New York, NY - Xandros, a leading developer of a cost effective, installation-friendly, complete Linux-based operating environment, announced today the release date for its first-generation Linux desktop product, Xandros Desktop 1.0. The product, due to be released on September 30, 2002 and available for purchase within three weeks after that date, is built upon Linux kernel 2.4.19, XFree86 4.2, Debian 3.0, Corel LINUX 3.0, and enhanced KDE.
