I decided that i was gonna put some thermaltake ramsinks on.. i figured some thermal grease would help.. oh it helped.. ruin the card! i guess it got on something and now it just produces a screen so garbled and messed up its unusable.. theres $130+ down the tube.. now i'm stuck with a g2 mx.. dont make the same mistake i did.

what kind did you apply..?? regular white..? or artic silver..?? Also how did you apply the grease on the ram and stick the sinks to it..? did ya clamp them on with metal..? If you put ram sinks on the best easy way to do it is frag tape. Not sure how ya put the sinks on with just grease. If it was artic silver then ya probably put on to much and it connected some of the ram pins.

its best to use non conductive silicon grease to overlap those pins on the ram before applying thermal paste

what??

im saying does it void the chaintech's warranty by just adding ramsink onto it?

you can lie to them and just say "it just went out like that after i put on the ramsink with the fragtape"

if the arctic silver isnt visible on there that is

Default problems

i wiped all the silver off thinking that it would make it work but it didnt.. in fact it made it worse.. but anyway i bought the card online a while ago and have gotten rid of most of the documentation so i either gotta fix it or sell it
