Default yeah! no more ati bad guys

Yeah seriously guys! ati really needs to get better drivers! Let's all sit around talking about how one driver gives us 2 frames per second better than another! That's really want I want to spend my life doing! When I die I can look back on my life and say, I did my best to get the most fps!

Default new 2.4 driver

I installed the new catalyst 2.4 driver in my tbird system with an ATI ALL IN WONDER card and when I ran 3DMARK2001 it now crashes and resets my computer. Then I loaded Battlefield 1942 to see how it would run but the game locks up before I get to the menu. These new drivers are nothing but trouble!

I don't think it's about "2 frames per second better than another" it about getting 2 frames a second at all of something other than a black or blue screen. Some of ATI's drivers suck, some work well. It seems their drivers need to me more tailored for new games. Just my .00000000000000000002 cents worth.

Default Ouch! That's painful.

Installed Catalyst 2.4 on my Radeon 7500 system. Ouch! The Windows GUI struggles to draw itself. Dragging a window across the screen is horrible. When I shut down Windows I can see the black mask creep across the screen. I've gone back to 2.3. All I want is a Catalyst driver that works like 2.3 and doesn't cause complete system hangs in Java applications!

I haven't had any problems at all on the new catalyst drivers, I own an 8500dv and I followed the steps verbatim on ATI's website (reoboting when necessary as per their directions).
