Hello,

I am a researcher with the CBC-TV program Marketplace, and am currently searching for any Canadians who are sick and tired of those AOL shrink-wrapped CDs littering the environment. I was surfing on the http://www.techwarelabs.com site and noticed a number of posts you made about that subject, and was wondering whether you could contact me at the phone number below, as I would like to discuss this further with you. My contact details are below.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Regards,
.....

interesting eh?
Yup, Maybe we can get them to send them out on CD-RW's instead.

AOhell is freaking everywhere.... You go to the post office or your own freaking mailbox and what do you see??? AOL disks. You go to BP to get gas and what do you see? AOL disks. You install drivers for your audio card and what do you see everywhere on your computer? AOL links in every possible place they can put them.

And they say Microsoft is bad. Blah!

/end rant.

there is no where indicating that you are stupid
no presumptions are made

this person is a researcher
and he/she has gained more knowledge than you have because of time and experience

attending the second highest ranked school does not mean all the students have the second highest intelligence in canada for high school students
you may not be implying that, then saying that attending... would be just a pointless fact

this was the reply i received today

Dear David Hsieh,

Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry. I would just like to know whether you have participated in the campaign to return unwanted AOL CDs to the company by mailing off any of these discs to the project in California, or whether you know anyone in Canada who has.

Your assistance with this question is appreciated.

Regards,
he/she was referring to www.nomoreaolcds.com for those who are interested in participating

one thing i dont like about this is
Quote:
We'll ask them to stop sending these unrequested, unwanted, and destined for landfill CDs.
CDs will be destined for landfills?
we should recycle them, make some uses out of the plastic
although getting rid of the chemical on there would be hard

deathjag, i am glad you apologized for that remark
if you are talking to the media, im sure there will be alot of people wanting your head

just drop it
and btw, dont edit my msgs
there is nothing wrong with them

Yeah, I think anyone that joins this board is anything but a moron, because you have to have extreme intelligence by making a awesome pick on posting on this board. I see things are gettin a bit heated...but was quickly resolved by the smarter...good deal. Eviltechie:sry man, but deathjag as every intention to edit the post if he does not abide to it, he's a mod, man. This is pretty cool that TWL is gettin reconized...who knows what will be next. Just imagine TWL gaining as much popularity as top techie sites are...now that would be schweeet.

obviously a mod has the power to edit posts

but to edit a post to protect ones self from mistake one made
and cover up

is called abusive powering

if a public speaker makes remarks and called others "morons"
then used police forces to quiet down public responses, is this a democratic world?
or dictatorship?

I think what they are saying is by AOL sending out so many CD's they end up in Landfills from people that just toss them in the trash when they get them in the mail.
