there are newer ones out there, but i still like my Nokia 5165. its fairly small, and you can use custom ringtones, i like to write my own. anyway, with my plan at cingular it was 20 bucks. hope this helps.

I saw an ad for Cingular for 1000 minutes for 39.99 and it rolls over your minutes.

its not a good time to go for Sony Ericsson now

some reports suggest that their radiation emission is the highest

Motorola is rated of being the least and safest to use

Nokia is ok

dunno about samsung, LG and the rest
but since not so much is said about them, i can only assume that they are so so right now

DO NOT get a Nokia 3395. When I upgraded my server, I was talked into getting one of these. It died with in 24 hours... I went right back and got my Nokia 6190 and havn't had a single problem with it... Had it for nearly 4 years. Also, I'm still using the origanal battery(lasts about 48 hours on standby)

i think thats just an unfortunate and rare incident

anyways
one thing is not to put old motorola batteries into your pants's pocket which is full of coins

my dad almost burnt his pants because of the short circuit
lol
that was 6 years ago...

he had a 6190 (i think) about 2 years ago and it fell into water and died
that cell lasted him 2 years and could have gone way more if that accident hasnt happened

now my dad uses the V70 from motorola
yeah the 360 degrees one
it sux
not user friendly
i mean wtf
everytime it rings, he has to turn the whole thing 180 to talk...
not a good design although its so small... and attractive with the belt pouch...

Unfortunate yes, rare...LOL, no way! When I was returning my phone, there where 3 other people in line doing the same, plus about 5 other came in while I was being helped. There is a MAJOR problem with this phone, do not get it!
