DDR 3500 will do 434 FSB. Do the math.

Default Best RAM Brabd (nothing beats this one guys!!)

I just built a brand new computer with an AMD athlon XP 2600, PNY Geforce FX 5600, Sound Blaster Audigy2, and a whopping one gig of RAM: I used Corsair XMS PC3200 (2 512mb DIMMS). This RAM is crazy-fast and I cant believe how well it performs. I also have a laptop that is running 640mb of RAM and my friend has a desktop that is running the exact same configuation except for he has a single DIMM of the same RAM I bought...it runs circles around my laptop! If you are looking for 'the best RAM out there' look no further and buy the Corsair XMS series.

thats true
nothing beats rams with hand picked winbond BH-5 chips...

but its so expensive!
so the alternative is to go with TwinMOS
they use winbond BH-5 chips
just not handpicked... thats all

way cheaper than Corsair

i dont like OCZ, they screwed me over...
Geil sux either from what ive heard

Kingston HyperX isnt bad
Crucial isnt bad either

but shsouldnt my cpu's fsb match the ram fsb..if thats the case, then i should go with dual ddr 400 since my cpu's fsb is 800 fsb

for corsair xms, should i spend the extra 10 bucks on low latency ram?
and should i go with just corsair (not xms) or crucial? What does non parity mean?

And for u peeps who said to go with crucial, but there ram is cl-3

Spend the extra $ for Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX or any other memory that will give you CL2. There is a performance difference between CL2 and CL2.5 or CL3. Rule of thumb... the lower the number the better.

Parity is for servers. For anything else, choose non-parity memory.

I have always bought Kingston and have never been let down. I just did a upgrade and I bought the 3200 CL 2.5 now if I had to do it over I would have gotten the CL 2.0 but I had already spent so much on everything else I went with the 2.5. When I get the extra cash I will upgrade the memory and buy a extra 512.

We have been using Mushkin Memory for quite awhile and have no problems with it.
Thier PC3200 Black PCB is rated CL2 and 6-2-2-2 guaranteed settings to run in the nF2 ASUS mobo's. I always get Cas 2 IMO this is best.
We have been using the PC2700, PC3000, & PC3200 black pcb.
I would compare this memory as even better than Corsair, mainly because they have not had the controller problems that Corsair had some months ago.
Mushkin is not cheap memory, it is priced in the XMS Corsair area.
Prior to this we used Crucial, the reason we changed is Crucial was too slow to get into the hi end memory products.
These new mobo's demand PC3200 and above, and they failed to produce a product that will work in these systems.
