XP and 2k do have a refresh rate problem that can be overrode with a 3rd party application when runing games in fullscreen Direct3d or OpenGL mode
I would personally put 2K over XP and 98. But since my IDE controller does not support DMA under 2K (M$ made the drivers for it). I refuse to use it.
