Alright, let's vote in #'s so keefe and Uranium-235 will be more convinced. You have to admit, it will raise posting.

excuse my ignorance, but what IS a quick reply, as opposed to a normal reply, or a slow one for that matter??

I don't see whats so slow about em now, just click reply and you're replying.. doesn't get quicker than that.

Yes. It does get quicker than that. Vee_ess, whenever he gets online, will show you a screen shot of what it is like. It is alot more convenient. It is a box at the bottem of every single thread. And instead of hitting reply and waiting for the page to load, you can just start typing in the designated box under the last post in every thread, and submit it, and your done. Non of this, reply, type, scroll to bottem of page again, submit, preview stuff. I'm just suggesting this for the sake of twl. It will get the post #'s up I think.

quick reply is just a little box on the bottom of each thread page that you can type into and just press quick reply without going to the reply page and looking at all those advanced functions and smilies

somehow i feel this encourages spam though but im used to using it in other forums
i dont mind going for the full reply page that we have now since the server is fast and page loads relatively fast

hmm, what i think may be the better idea is to make the reply box open in a small popup box, that way the entire thread doesn't have to be reloaded, but you don't have to scroll up and down to type then read what you're responding to.

I vote yes. On a Few other forums i have been on this feature was added a little after the forums release. I myself am on a faster connection so the page loading really does not both me but I'm always looking for ways to make my life easier so.. why not.

I also think it is a good idea to have quick reply, but not as a pop up. I am using Mozilla with the popup killer enabled. For the people who have popup killers enabled, we would not get the window.
