First things first.  Do you have the latesest drivers?  I just got a new Dell laptop on thursday and had to reinstall all but 2 drivers on the system to get the latest.  And if you're PC manufacture doesn't have any updates check with NVidia they may have newer refrence drivers.  I don't use refrence drivers much because manufacture specific drivers are refined for your card and stuff like that.  However if your PC manufacture is slow to update drivers or they go out of buisness   which does happen sometimes, try the chipset manufacturer website and look it up by chipset.  This will fix 9 out of 10 crash problems especially when it's diffrent games.  You may also want to check with the makers of the games and see if they have any pathces.  Also are you running XP if you are is it home or pro.  I know pro lets you run stuff in diffrent compatibility modes, but I'm just startin' to expirement with that.  Hope that helps.

i forgot to mention i have win xp which doesn't matter now anyway

i downloaded the latest drivers off nvidia (when i first went there it thought Detonator was a type of card, not an all in one driver)

everything works fine now

o yea, when attempting to overclock in the BIOS i completely screwed up the computer and i couldn't get into BIOS to change it as nothing happened on boot, ended up taking the CMOS out, also my BIOS's fail-safe defaults dont work, they actually screw up the PC!
