this works
hi, i normally dont reply to posts, but i was reading this because i was having the same problem with my audigy 2 card..."it says these are wdm drivers, vxd are detected, install wdm and try again.."
well, one of the folks on this message board said to, well ill just paste what he wrote:
The way to get around this is to choose "update driver" on the Multimedia Audio Controller in the Hardware panel, and choose "install driver manually." Then install the SBLive! driver embedded in Windows 2000/XP. Restart your computer, and then install the Audigy 2 update. It'll work. You just have to install the wrong driver, initially. Yay Creative for making this so needlessly complicated. Heaven forbid they release driver packs.
I tried this and I can vouch for this because this really works, and now my sound card works without having to hasstle calling creative labs and order 15 dollar plus s/h driver cd.
