Default USB power on after turn off

When i turn off my computer my optical mouse and usb devices are still lit up.. how do i turn off this?? i was them to turn off when i turn off my computer... is it in bios somewhere? does it cause any damage or conflicts by doing so? why are they on after system is turned off in first place???

That is quite odd. The only thing that I can think of is that you may have some weird ACPI power settings in the bios. Check the power management section of your bios for things like "allow usb device to wake computer" or something like that.

Let me know what you find.

are you putting your computer on standby? or ACTUALLY shutting it down
