Default 9600se

I got a new card (ASUS RADEON 9600 SE) but it will not work on my computer. I have done many things to the MB and BIOS but it makes 3 beebs that signifies that there is no VCard. What can be done to fix this problem? I have even tryed to move it to a new computer and it did work. but when i put it in my computer it doesnt work. Any ideas?

ok bud make sure that you locked the white AGP thing into place. (right side of the slot) w/o it it doesn't apply power to the card

There should be a plastic locking clip at the end of your AGP slot; that is what he is referring to I believe. Make sure you have a power connector plugged into the video card if it requires it. Also make sure you have onboard video disabled.

There isnt a locking clip on this board. And it doesnt require extra power. And it doesnt have onbord video.

i bought the same card exactly before two month !!!!!
my computer is a little old one : P4B266C - Asus Motherboard. AGPX4
at first i didn't know how to install it, and the performance was Bad . .
but after a week, i installed WinXp Pro and configured the bios to work with AGPX4 (Which is the maximum of my motherboard . .) and set video aperture size to 128MB . you need to check the following things:
1) Your motherboard supports 1.5V AGP Card ?if not it won't work
2) is the bios is set properly for - AGPX4 / AGPX8 / Video aperture Size
3) do you have a video capturing card that have the Same IRQ / DMA channels as this one ?

i hope you'll manage.

this card is very good one. im playing a lot on ghost recon / nfs underground and the graphics is great. good luck.
