2 home from school

ive got permission from my admin to connect to my home PC. 'if you can do it' he says. anyway i ve found 3 open ports so far. 1073, 80, and 443. there using bess proxy and the external IP is 156.63.116.99 . i want to use a VPN and enable FTP on a comp at school, and on my home comp - bridging the network connection with the VPN connection at school to allow me access my alotted network storage - primarily to transfer homework. any way i think i may need to use a seperate proxy to bypass bess? i dunno.... any help would be great....
