Well, if you really want to uninstall them completely, go to Device Manager > Display Adapters > ATi Radeon 9800 Pro > Right Click > Uninstall... When it asks you to restart, click no (you'll do it later). Go get newest drivers, install, restart.

Why am I getting 20-30 fps with my radeon 9800 pro? I have an amd 3000+ Xp and 1 gig ram. The game I'm playing is called Counter-Strike Source. It also says the latest driver date is 8/25/04 which is AFTER I downloaded the catalyst 4.9 from www.ati.com. I dont understand this.

Go to control panal=>add/remove programs=>uninstall the ATI software (control panal and drivers) =>restart and then install the 4.9 drivers.

I should have added that those are high setting my brother is running at.. and no shadows. thats probably what you are running at xckid082488. high quality crap.. Nothing is optimized too, since this is a beta, no set of drivers have full support so expect to see a small nice fps boost in the final build.
