Default What da'heck is it?

I decided to go through a decades worth of boxes full of old computer stuff when I came accross a very odd looking cable.

The cable has a standard USB connector on one end and an RJ45 connector on the other end.

Does anyone have a clue what this is for?

i've seen something like that at work... maybe it's for connecting a comp to the net and it doesn't have a nic.. so you do it through usb? or connecting a nic to a usb modem?

Im guessing its too a wireless bridge router, It plugs the RJ-45 into the wireless network bridge and then the other end plugs into the computer via usb.

(my guess)

(Router)<rj-45>-------------<usb>(computer)
